We believe childhood should be filled with joy, wonder, and love. At JumpStart Child Development Center, we’re more than caregivers—we’re partners in helping you raise happy, healthy children. With warm hearts and guiding hands, we create a caring space where your child feels safe, supported, and truly seen. Together, we build the foundation for a lifetime of confidence, kindness, and curiosity.
As a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, I opened this center with one simple goal: to create a safe, nurturing place where children can thrive—and where families feel supported every step of the way.
I believe that early childhood is a powerful time of growth, discovery, and joy. Every child deserves to be cared for by people who see their potential, respect their individuality, and are passionate about helping them learn and grow.
At our center, we focus on the whole child—supporting emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development in a loving, playful environment. We also believe that strong partnerships with parents are essential. When we work together, we can build a strong foundation that helps your child succeed not only in school, but in life.

Summer Camp
Summer Camp (Ages 5–8) Our fun-filled summer camp keeps learning alive all season long! While children enjoy themed weeks, games, art, and outdoor adventures, we place a special focus on boosting reading skills. Through daily reading time, phonics games, and engaging literacy activities, we help prevent the “summer slide” and build confidence for the school year ahead.

Morning Circle
We start each day with our morning circle—a fun and friendly time where children come together to sing songs, share stories, talk about the day, and build a sense of community. Our center is proud to use a curriculum that is approved by the Louisiana Department of Education. We also hold academic approval through the Department of Education, ensuring our program meets high standards for quality early childhood education. Children get to make choices, try new things, and dive into activities that match their interests and developmental needs.
Healthy Meals
We provide nutritious, child-friendly meals and snacks each day to keep little bodies fueled and growing strong. Our menus are designed to support healthy development and include a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and balanced options. Mealtimes are also a chance to build social skills, practice good manners, and enjoy a moment of community around the table.
Outdoor Play
We believe fresh air and active play are a big part of a healthy childhood! Our outdoor space gives children the chance to run, climb, explore, and play freely each day. With soft surfaces for safety and shaded areas for comfort, kids can enjoy outdoor fun while building motor skills, social confidence, and a love for nature.
